Blaine has fallen in love with reading lately! It is his new favorite thing to do! Don't get me wrong I'm really excited and happy that he wants us to read to him but he is a little pushy and demanding about it. Brett and I both have read Brown Bear (his favorite) and a book by The Wiggles called "Yummy Yummy Fruit Salad" about million times(well it feels that way) just in the past week! He has made it clear that no matter what time of day or what you may have going on you must drop it all and read him a book when he wants you too! He doesn't give up either! Brett has attempted to make throwing books, yes I said throwing, into a game but Blaine isn't having it! It just makes him madder. He'll run over pick the book up, take it back to Brett, and DEMAND he reads it!

Welcome to Our Blog!
Life seems to be passing by in the blink of an eye and I feel I need to hold onto the memories of our little boy growing up. Our blog will hold on to memories of Blaine's day to day activities so one day all of us will be able to laugh and smile at all of the good times we had watching him grow up.

Hilton Head!
We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head with Nana and PopPop! Blaine showed off his swimming skills in the kiddy pool by diving under the water and swimming! Needless to say this wasn't a very relaxing trip for a Brett and I! Blaine had us running all over the place! While on the beach we couldn't take our eyes off of him for more than a second or he would be heading towards the water. What can I say he LOVES the water! He made Daddy run up and down the beach and chase waves with him for almost an hour straight! We of course hung out with our second family, The Lanes! I got a lot of cute pictures of him and Mallory Lane playing in the sand and eating snacks!

Dinner Time..
With an 18 month old the simplest of things can turn into a big event! To have the heart of a child and to enjoy life's simple pleasure would be amazing to have again. Dinner time is never as routine I wish for it to be, some days we skip it all together, eat separate meals or end up eating pizza in front of the television. No matter what we decide to do Blaine always knows how to make it a little eventful. A few nights ago Brett and I decided to skip dinner(we had a big lunch) so we prepared Blaine a little cup of Chef Boyardee, the Beef O Roni kind. Being the big boy he is we weren't allowed to help feed him he had his fork and was determined to feed himself. We sat and watched as he took bite after bite. Watching most of it fall onto his highchair, chest and lap. The beef O roni has very small pieces of meat in it, that I have to honestly say don't look that tasty and Blaine seem to have felt the same way I did. He would take a bite of his food and then proceeded to spit the teeny tiny little piece of meat out. Just another piece of tomato paste covered food to join the rest that was on top of his highchair. The dogs of course were waiting patiently under the highchair in hopes of anything falling. They learned fast that the best way to get table food is just to wait below his chair. Brett and I were wondering around the kitchen doing chores or something and began hearing laughter. Turning around we find Blaine feeding the dogs with both his hands and fork. Riley (our Yorkie) is standing on top of the table, and Pe-Bo propped up on the side of his hair chair waiting for more. I know it doesn't seem like much we had a lot of laughs over what a kick he got out of all of it. !
